Today I drove into the Apalachicola National Forest to visit the potter. George Griffin has had a studio there since 1975. He is a lovely and gentle soul and has been a friend to my family for a long time.
He doesn't do computers, therefore no social media except the sort of listing you see above. He doesn't have a cell phone. He doesn't take credit cards - just cash and checks. He doesn't watch the news.
His home is a beautiful oasis of nature. George is committed to living lightly on the earth and creating lovely and harmonious things. He has many years' worth of photos on his walls, Polaroids he used to take of all his visitors. There are lots of us. Here's another (I'll send him a print)
