I'm breathing and sitting up straight! I can't say how relieved I was to put in a full day at work today. Teh evil sinus had me at the doctor on Monday afternoon for Augmentin, and in bed all day Tuesday and Wednesday. It closes up my ears and makes me soooo dizzy. That plus the headache keeps a pillow over my head pretty good.
I am working with my (fantastic) intern Martha on putting together the first two publications. I'm also working with a group on a grant application and planning workshops for Fulbright Scholar Program applicants.
For reading, among other things I'm enjoying Holy Companions: Spiritual Practices from the Celtic Saints by Mary Earle and Sylvia Maddox. It's the text for my online course of the same name, which starts Monday...although I appreciated seeing that the syllabus is written with the week beginning on Sunday. As indeed it does.
I'm enjoying helping with Daughters of the King training. We have a great class of 5, maybe 6, who began last week. It's a very special time of formation.
I'm knitting my second Five-Hour Baby Sweater. This one has only taken ... a month. Not so bad, right?
I'm drinking peppermint tea. Have gotten myself off of caffeine and artificial sweeteners in preparation to start a 21-day detox/cleanse program this weekend. We'll see how it goes!
I'm giving thanks for the safe return of my friend's mother, who was missing from Sunday noon until Tuesday morning.
I'm saying ciao for now.
