My name is Boudreaux, which for anyone who doesn't know, is pronounced "Bood-row." Mom and Dad also call me Buddy, Buddyroe, Boo, Sparky, Little Bit, and Peaches. How am I supposed to remember all that!?
Here I am reading Cheesehead's blog:
I am 10 weeks old and I came to live here a week ago. I used to live with the Millers in DeKalb, TX, where I was born.
It was kind of scary when I came here. There's another Dog, Josie, who is in charge of the place, and the three people-dogs, and the cat-dog (now that is a weird thing, that cat-dog). Josie is a Maltese, like me, and weighs just 6 pounds, but she is definitely the Queen. Josie wasn't sure at first whether I was to eat, or to play with, or to sit on. She was really jealous right at the beginning, and told me I'd be swimming with the fishes if I didn't watch my step! I think she was kidding....maybe!
Anyway, so I was kind of nervous and didn't eat right just at first, and got sick with hypoglycemia. But Mom took me to a vet, and a lot of her friends all over the world prayed for me, and I got better fast. She still has to watch to be sure I don't play too hard and get overexhausted. She gives me Karo syrup in a dropper once a day. And I get good stuff to eat, like Mi-T-Dog canned food and Science Diet. (I liked the Mi-T Dog so much the first time I had it, that I lifted up my back paws and stood on my front paws with my face buried in the plate! Woo woo! Bring that stuff on AGAIN!)
Josie is turning out to be OK. She still sits on me, but that's okay - sometimes I bite her leg with my little sharp puppyteeth! :) And we play together, too.
If I could just figure out where it is that the people-dogs want me to potty! Seems like I do it wrong every time! Maybe they could come over to my idea, that it's cool to do it wherever you happen to be. Life is short, right? But good.
Happy New Year to all you people-dogs, cat-dogs, and Real Dogs out there.
