If you want to read about an awesome charity, go to the Peace Tree Africa website. It was started by a former employee of mine who went on to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer after graduation.
I found this little snippet there as a summary of PTA:
After completing two successful years of service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, Tara Lynn Smith saw firsthand the needs of her community. Upon her return to the United States, she incorporated PTA to answer continuing needs for sustainable development, connect communities in America to those in Cameroon -- and live up to her title as Maveu Napteu ("queen of fixing things").
So, I now know my life problem: I have been trying to be Maveu Napteu ("queen of fixing things"), and that title is already held by Tara!
