I heard on the radio recently about a two man in Ohio who were to be executed by lethal injection. The prison officials spent hours trying to find a "good vein" with cooperation from the prisoners...finally they stopped and decided to try again later.
Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
This has been bothering me greatly, and here's the question: if lethal injection were to really be humane (!), shouldn't we anesthetize the patients first? Has no one suggested this? What am I missing?
It makes me sick to even ask it. But it's driving me crazy.
