Another update: I just picked him up. He is a little dopey but seems fine. Turns out his left patella was subluxated (his kneecap pops out.) after blood work comes back we may get some meds...? Also he is overweight. Uh oh. A diet in the future!
2:20 p.m.: Augh! This is not the first time he has done this to us: the vet's office just called and said he is awake from the anesthesia and acting just like normal. Not that I am complaining...
She also said the X-rays look "wonderful" and they are waiting for blood work, so we won't know anything about meds until Monday. Sorry for the alarum. I guess I'm going to become known as "the blogger who cried Boudreaux."
Thanks, really, for all your supportive comments. What a support I felt. Love you all.

Morning: I don't know quite what happened. We came home from the motorcycle ride/dinner in Arlington (yes, we drove 50 miles one way for dinner...but it was good).
We came home and the dogs ran out to greet us. Both of them were running at first; then I was running with Josie, and we were playing, so I wasn't paying attention. But Boudreaux must have stumbled or twisted something...because he is very lame now. In a lot of pain if we touch his left hip - I don't know about when we are not touching it. He has had trouble with it before...
I'm feeling right frantic about it. Will you please pray with me? We'll get him in to the vet ASAP and I'll advise when I know something.
