Songbird says: It's that time of year, at least north of the equator. The windows are still open, but the darned furnace comes on early in the morning. My husband went out for a walk after an early supper and came home in full darkness.TrackBack URL for this entry:

Our relatively wet summer here made for more mosquitoes than we've seen in a long time...and they sabotaged many a pleasant evening on the front porch. FT is allergic to 'skeeter bites -- she actually gets blisters that will bleed at the slightest provocation -- so we are very glad for cooler weather, so we can finally enjoy outdoor living!

Hadn't thought about All Souls Day or All Saints Day as I've heard it. That is indeed a special part of fall.

ooohhh - we're doing an all hallow's eve service at the new church!! i can't wait - i've never seen one done - the lff readings are very cool & we'll have lots of candles in the space.
