Whatcha Eatin'? A Meme....

Found at I'm Mad and I Eat:

This is fun, and everybody's doing it. Andrew put together a list of 100 foods he thinks any good omnivore should have tried at least once. Andrew is British, so his list doesn't include some things this Yank might believe to be must-tries.

How the Omnivore's 100 works:
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.

2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.

3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.

4) Optional: Post a comment at
Very Good Taste, linking to your results.

My theory is:  I'll try anything once.

YOu have eaten more different things than I have. I agree with you tne gin. It tastes like poison to me.

As for soft shell crab, I have eaten it several times. The first time I ate it, it was the best! I have tried it several times afterwards and that first taste of yumminess has eluded me.

This is fun. I may try it later on after work.

Cathy, it's like my objection to dates: how it looks and what it reminds me of. I don't want to eat the outside of crabs' legs. They look like big old spiders...also, crab is not supposed to be crunchy unless you picked it badly! :)

What is clotted cream tea??

Mindy, I assume that "clotted cream tea" refers to what might be better known as "high tea," which is the afternoon (4:00) tea meal with tea, scones spread with clotted cream (YUMMMMMMMMM) and little fancy sammiches and cakes. It's so VERY British and high-fat.

We should go to England and have it together!
