Man, I love winter time in Texas. It's going to be 73 degrees today, but down to 49 tonight and 19 tomorrow. It stays cold just long enough for you to wish it would STOP being cold! and then it does stop! What a deal.
When it's cold, I don't have to debate whether I can BEAR to wear hose, or a slip. I just do it, and don't melt all day.
Ken would disagree with this. He hates cold weather anytime, anyhow. Oh well, so sorry!
Yesterday I got the State sales tax filed and paid. Next, 1099 forms! How exciting is THAT!? Well, I was proud anyway.
Did I mention that my hair is suddenly getting pretty grey, but only in one bizarre patch on top of my head? That's all I can see, anyway. :) Told a newcomer to the office yesterday that I've been here almost 10 years...though it's really almost 9. Sounds like an awful long time, though!
I've only lived 3 main places in my life, and this one is the shortest so far:
My stepdaughter Holley came to visit this weekend. It was fun, but Ken and I were still both sick, so we weren't very entertaining hosts. However, Holley and Brandon went out bowling together & I'm sure they painted the town red!
Yesterday was a vacation day, thanks to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I must say that I didn't do anything observant of his great legacy yesterday. But I did consider it a great deal. I finished a book by Muhammad Ali called The Soul of a Butterfly by Ali and his daughter Hana. It was very thought-provoking about his philosophy, and about the United States' progress toward peace and justice for all.
While I was out doing errands, I tried to buy Ken some pants. How frustrating! Apparently he is either a really popular size or a really weird size; very hard to find. I ended up going to the Wal-Mart Super Center :P which I found extremely stressful. I stood in line thinking, "God is in all these people! God loves all these people at least as much as he loves me, and maybe more!" It helped a little bit.
Off I go to mail the estimated tax check. Phew! Good to have that done.
I returned to Jazzercise Personal Touch this morning. It's a personal-training setting for the strength-training part of JC. It is a MONSTER workout and I am going to be soo sore tomorrow! I (am supposed to!) do this 2x a week in addition to regular Jazzercise classes 3x a week.
Just working in the home office this afternoon, and will be taking down Christmas decorations.
